Set Up a New Site

A new CrestApps Estimator site opens on the Setup screen the first time someone visits it. You fill in the form once, and the site is ready to use. Usually your IT team does this step. If the site already shows a sign-in page, it is already set up.

Set up the site

1. Open the site's address in your browser. The Setup screen appears.
2. In What is the name of your site?, type your company's name, for example Contoso Electric.
3. In Recipe, pick Estimator. This recipe turns on the admin dashboard and the Estimator features.
4. In Default Time Zone, pick the time zone of your office.
5. In What type of database to use?, pick the database that your IT team gives you, and fill in its details. To try the product on your own computer, pick Sqlite.
6. Under Super User, type the User Name, Email, Password and Password Confirmation of the first administrator.
7. Click Finish Setup.

The site opens its home page. To go to the admin dashboard, add /admin to the site's address and sign in with the administrator account you just created.
