Features and Settings (for Administrators)

This page is for administrators. CrestApps Estimator is made of features: parts you turn on only when your company uses them. A feature's menus, screens and permissions appear only while it is on. If you are not an administrator, you cannot change features.

Can't find it?

What you see depends on your role. If the menu, a button or a setting on this page is missing, ask your administrator to give you the permission listed above or to turn on the feature. Only administrators can turn features on and change site settings.

Turn the Estimator feature on

A site set up with the Estimator recipe already has this feature on. To check it, or to turn it on in another site:

  1. Open Tools > Features.
  2. Type Estimator in the search box.
  3. Find Estimator under the Estimator heading. If it shows Enable, click Enable.

The Estimator feature is the base of CrestApps Estimator. It adds the Estimator menu, with Projects and the Bid calendar, and the permissions that control who sees them. The features that add the estimating screens will depend on it, and will turn it on when you turn them on.
