Electrical Package
The electrical package fills a new site with what an electrical contractor starts from. It adds:
| What | Examples |
|---|---|
| Catalog items | EMT, PVC and rigid conduit in ten trade sizes with their fittings, straps and pull boxes; copper wire from #14 to 750 kcmil and aluminum wire from #6; lugs; boxes, devices, fixtures, panels, breakers, disconnects, transformers and grounding |
| Assemblies | About 300: conduit runs, branch circuits, feeders by ampacity, devices in MC cable or EMT, fixtures, panels, disconnects, transformers, pull boxes, penetrations and grounding |
| Job condition questions | Working height, ceiling type, phasing, after-hours work, material handling, and more building types |
| Crews | A feeder crew and a lighting crew |
| Proposal clauses | Electrical inclusions, exclusions and clarifications, such as utility company work |
| Estimate template | Electrical – Commercial, with recap settings, a breakdown and the direct job expenses of a job |
The package has no labor rate tables. Add your own rates, or run the Estimator sample catalog recipe for sample rates. See Labor rates.
The prices and labor units are sample values for trying the workflow. They are not from a price service or a published labor manual. Replace them with your own prices and labor units before you bid.

Use the package
- The feeders find their conduit, wire, lugs and pull boxes in the catalog. See Feeders.
- To start each new estimate from the Electrical – Commercial template, open Estimator > Estimate templates, edit the template and select New estimates start from this template. See Estimate templates.
- Answer the new job condition questions in the job conditions wizard.
