Prices
Each item of the catalog keeps the history of its prices. A price is never changed: a new price takes effect from its day on, and the earlier prices stay, so you can always see what an item cost and when.

Read the price history
The top of the page shows the price in effect today. The list shows every price, the latest first. Each row shows:
- the price and the quantity it is for, such as $62.00 / C for 62 dollars per hundred feet;
- the change from the price it replaced, per unit, such as +10%, or New price for the first price;
- In effect on the price used today;
- the day it is in effect from, where it comes from, the vendor, notes, and the price it replaced.
The price in effect on a day is the latest price whose day is on or before it. A price with a later day waits until then: you can add next month's prices now.
Add a price
- Under Add a price, enter the Price and pick what it is For: each, per hundred or per thousand.
- Enter the day it is In effect from.
- Pick the Source: Manual, Price file, Vendor or Quote. Enter the Vendor and notes, such as the quote number, if you want.
- Click Add price.
If the same price is already in effect on that day, nothing is added. To add many prices at once, import a price file.
